Some Christmas favorites! all pictures!

Wow, that was Christmas!

Even though it was Ava's 3rd Christmas, it felt like the first. There was excitement, Christmas movie watching, songs about jingle bells, Santa visits, cookies, swaying of baby Jesus, tearing into presents, hot chocolate in the car as we looked at lights, we had it all and it was great!! I have a ton of pictures, I may try to figure out how to do a link to our Christmas album, until then....here are a few remaining straggler pictures from my phone.

A big tree in the house

Ava sat on her potty last night right in front of the tree. She smiled and said said big tree mama. It's fun to have a tree in the house huh Ava!? She pee'd and then went on to explore some of the Eskimo ornaments, ah the joys of Christmas and potty training!!

Christmas styling....target style

I laid in bed last night, tossing and turning, debating if I should take NyQuil or not (I did), the wind was howling, Brian is in Texas for the week and my mind was racing!!! Of all the important details filling up my overtired brain, one detail: we (the girls) didn't have anything great to wear for Christmas Eve! What kind of mother am I!?!?!? I'm not a fan of holiday specific clothes, I can't stand the idea of a dress that is so obviously Christmas that they/I can not wear it again, Target, to the rescue!! I had a slew of other items to pick up.....and just minutes to pull it together. It was slim pickings in the kids dept, as target has already moved onto spring, leaving us slacker moms to scramble, but I pulled it together, sparkle heart tights and all! I can't wait to spend this Christmas with the family I have been blessed with! And now we will be looking great and sparkly!

Whatever it takes to get her....

To brush her teeth! On the counter, mirror light on, a clean toothbrush from the laser light cleaning thingy, momma's headband, strawberry toothpaste and a princess toothbrush. Oh my!

Party at the top of the stairs!

Yoga at the top of the stairs, stair climbing races, crazy hair day, wear your sisters clothes, screeching match! Yes, it's all happening here!!

Sparkle in the house

It was a rainy morning, I took Ava to school today, she had stayed home yesterday with a cold, so it was an unexpected treat to pick up a Christmas gift package she had made on Monday. A potted ivy cutting, a painted bulb and this sparkly candle that took center stage at our dinner tonight. She is so proud of her candle, wants me to light it all the time and then she belts out her version of happy birthday. The first of many Christmas gifts brought home by one if the girls! and I love it! Isla, well all the lights in the house are a magnet to wandering little legs and a growing reach.

Crayon collaboration

First combined crayon coloring collaboration between the littles. Do I have the artwork to show for it!? I don't know! I'm pretty sure this scene ended with paper thrown off the table, crayons being eaten, someone got hungry, or no wait, quick move the table! The Christmas tree we won is here and going in that spot!!
