Molly's birthday party!

We love a birthday party!! Especially one with a princess bounce house. That seems to be the standard these days for our sweet little gals. It was just Ava and I for the party and I had the best time with her, she bounced and waved to me, we ate morning donuts together, she played dress up and I was able to help her make her fruit loop necklace. Party on!! Yay for little girls birthday parties, Happy 3rd Birthday Molly Joy.

Whoa there's a princess in my kitchen

She's a princess of many stools, she stashes her stools all over the kitchen and whips them out at a moments notice, she likes to mix, stir and poke her finger into the batter, yummy! she sings. Waffles were on the princess menu this particular morning, with raspberries, one on each finger, is how she likes to eat them!!

A trip to the garden

Our little world has been so out of whack for the last couple of months, and we hadn't been to the botanical garden in a looooong time, grand parents left early this morning and I felt like I needed a little outing, just me and the girls! We could have played in the bamboo the entire time! They both loved the BLACK dirt that laid below the bamboo leaves, we had 20 little dirty finger nails to prove it! Ava loved shaking one bamboo stick against the others to make knocking sounds and hear the leaves rustle. She also had to get her daily climb in, so we headed to the tree house. Successful climb and great outing! We need to be hanging out there more for sure.

This little turkey, ate turkey today

She pawed at turkey and Cheerios, while big sister napped through thanksgiving dinner! Oh well, we are thankful for nap time in this house.

A whole lot of work, for one little hike!

But ahhhh to go for a hike again, the climb, the elevation, the air, the ever changing views, the burn in your legs, all so good to me, I love it. Two sleepy kids, two backpacks, a few tears, we did it!!! Not to the summit on this trip, but sometime....for sure!

In the mountains

Oh my gosh, a friend blogged on her blog, and it reminded me....man, I haven't blogged! My head has not been with me lately, for one we took an amazing trip to the mountains, but also, husband out of town, ear infection, teething, potty training, mamma has a never ending cold, thanksgiving house guests, and now a croup cough, blah, blah......
Here is Isla in the Idyllwild cabin (more to come), delighted to be able to rock the chair herself!

It happened

Ava got a magazine today in the mail, she slept with it! Ha! After her nap, she polished off some hot chocolate and yelled out for her magazine, we joked and called it her Business Week and that she was getting down to business. Grandparents, she wants everything in the catalog for Christmas!! I'll give you a list if I can ever pry it from her clutch.
